About Us

GDOG (Gillette Dog Owners Group) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has raised funds since 2011 to build a fenced-in off-leash dog park in Gillette, WY and that park, "The O-SO Fun Dog Park" was finally constructed in August 2015. The group is now currently focusing on raising funds through fundraisers, private donations, and grant monies to go towards the costs of improving the dog park to include agility equipment, landscaping, and other amenities within the park. GDOG was founded by local citizens Catherine Mahoney and Marcus Smith after their dog Oso was hit and killed in March of 2011, while exercising off-leash at Bicentennial Park. GDOG became a non-profit organization in May of 2012 & has been recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since August 5, 2014.
